The Goodbyes are an Ohio-based rock band founded in 2023, but our roots go back much further than that. Max Kassoy (guitar + vocals) grew up in the heart of the Brooklyn music scene, discovering a love of rock ‘n roll at an early age and learning any instrument he could get his hands on ever since. Lyric Anderson (keys), hailing from Boston, found early love in the jazz and classical worlds, but began playing the blues when the organ entered his life. Noah Galambos (bass) was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, CA, where a high school career of jazz bass and drum core conducting started him on a long musical journey that included everything from funk to free music. And we would be nowhere without Tyler Graf (drums), whose Chicago roots and guitar-playing dad have always left him hankering for a pair of sticks and some B.B. King.

Drawing influence from a range of traditions, including blues, jazz, soul, indie, folk, and bossa nova, The Goodbyes write and play original music, and strive toward creating a new sound through collaboration, deep listening, and a belief in the transformative spiritual power of music.
